Blackfriar's Bridge London Ontario
Description
Blackfriar's Bridge, London, Ontario, at dusk. Built in 1875, and rebuilt in 2013, resulting in a bridge safe only for the weight of pedestrians and cyclists. In 2017, a more ambitious plan had the bridge moved offsite (in two pieces) for refurbishment, and returned just over a year later, when it reopened to foot, bike, and one way vehicular traffic. It is the oldest wrought iron bridge in North America still used for vehicular traffic.
